Andrew Denton's "God on my side"

"If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31) In a documentary that turns the Western gaze on Christian fundamentalism, Andrew DENTON explores faith and the place it can take true-believers, both personally and politically. He visits the 63rd National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, Texas and interviews a range of Christians, from the rigidly conservative to the surprisingly liberal.

Sinful Batmobile Lust

I was observing a discussion in our forum today about fornication and I got stuck on the following quote from a christian fellow:

"It does not matter even if it was not a sexual act that was the result of lust, for example lusting after a sportscar, it is still the outcome of lust, then it is sin."

Lusting after cars is a sin now? Aww man, they've got a sin for everything! Luckily my old Camry isn't enticing any poor sods into damnation... Where's the line between longing, deep admiration and evil car lust? Lusting after the car in your heart is the same as actually having sex with the car.

Forgive me father for I have looked lustfully on the Batmobile. It seems I was guilty of 'lust' way before puberty 'cause I always longed for a big black bat car. I thought this forum comment was a good excuse to compile a series of Batmobile pictures to lust after. I'm told they're pretty phallic... if you're into black phallic things.

Fee Fi Fo Fum, genetic engineering could bring back the giant 'Nephilim

Are Bibles 'giants' set for return?

New experiments in genetic engineering could open the doors for the return of fearsome "giants" described in the Bible – the offspring of human women and fallen angels – warns author Thomas Horn in his best-selling book, "Nephilim Stargates: The Year 2012 and the Return of the Watchers."

In the Book of Genesis, beings of great stature called "giants" appear, which some biblical scholars believe came into existence after powerful angels known as 'Watchers' used women to construct their own bodies of flesh. The Apocryphal books support the Genesis story, adding that the sin of the angels grew to include genetic modification of animals as well as humans. Now, Horn asks, "What if, by corrupting the species barrier in which each creature was to recreate after its 'own kind,' Watchers (or demons) had successfully mingled human-animal DNA, to leave their plane of existence, and to enter ours. "The results of this genetic modification were the giants known as Nephilim," he says. Given what is happening in science today, Horn wonders if modern biotechnology may be about to repeat the science of Watchers, and, worse, provide a pathway for the return of the Nephilim. Today, molecular biologists classify the functions of genes within native species but are unsure in many cases how a gene's coding might react from one species to another. In recombinant DNA technology, a "transgenic" organism is created when the genetic structure of one specie is altered by the transfer of a gene or genes from another. This could change not only the genetic structure of the modified animal and its offspring, but its adaptive development, sensory modalities, disease propensity, personality and behavior traits among other things. "If one accepts the biblical story of giants as real, discoveries could actually be made someday, or perhaps already has been and was covered up. The technology to resurrect the extinct species may already exist, and cloning methods are being studied now for use with bringing back Tasmanian Tigers, Wooly Mammoths and other extinct creatures." Is the world on the verge of bringing back demonic giants? Horn believes so.

Everyone loves Iron Man apart from these two Christian idiots

Obviously, not all Christians are dickheads, and I know any reasonable religious person loves a good comic book movie. I've got to wait ages for this to come to my backwater cinema, and I already know too much about it. I'm trying to lower my expectations as much as possible so that it will not fail the hype in its wake.

That leads me to reading negative reviews... for fun... check out the following review I found from a Christian movie review site. And if you think that was funny, you should read the reviews on there of Tom Green's 'Freddy Got Fingered'! I couldn't find a review for Debbie Does Dallas anywhere...

The 'Idiot Christian' Iron Man Review:

"My husband and I went to see Iron Man. We left after about 15 to 20 minutes into the film after having heard the Lord's name used as a swear word and having viewed exceptional levels of provocative 'trashy' behavior being modeled at a level such that no matter the potentially redemptive aspects to later be developed in the storyline they could not be sufficient to redeem these opening sequences. Therefore we walked out. (We are pleased to say that the theater manager kindly honored our request to be refunded when we explained our concerns.) Christian viewers, will have to endure sexual fornication, prisoner torture, glorified greed/fame, and revenge (packaged as good vs. evil). "

Oh, and here's the Freddy Got Fingered Review... ya gotta read this (note the fuck word count):

"There was nothing good about this movie and it is perhaps the worst ever made. The whole film is sexually twisted. There is bestial masturbation, support of sexual child abuse, the sexual content was innumerable. This film was also sexually violent. The main character slices up a moose and puts it on his head and then is hit by a semi. He licks a friend's open wound, winks at suicide, about 70 f-words, lots of drinking and smoking, but the worse is yet to come. The main character bites a bloody baby's umbilical cord and then swings the baby around by it splashing blood on everyone in the room. I don’t know how this film got an R rating! This so-called “film”--a man masturbates a live horse AND an elephant, the lead character in the movie has a paralyzed girlfriend that gets off on getting caned in her legs, there are many references to oral sex, and a very graphic scene in which the lead character's father begs for his son to sodomize him (this scene contains nudity--the father's bare behind). It also contains about 57 F-words"

Tip the pizza guy

While scraping for money, working all sorts of odd jobs, from boxing up fish to department store Santa, the worst of them all was pizza delivery. I worked for Pizza Hut and, man, did that company suck. I don't know how they get away with paying their drivers so little. At least the drivers were allowed to eat undelivered pizza, but even this was ceased by head management.

Anyway, tip the drivers. Give them a tip. If you don't tip pizza delivery drivers, there's a special level of hell in store for you after you die that includes canned meat and post 2003 britney Spears video clips.

The following story is from TIP THE PIZZA GUY (check it out - some bloody funny stories) and isn't this one just typical of the 'me me' mindset of big Christian churches:

One time I had to deliver to a huge megachurch. They ordered over $200 in food and I had my car packed so full I couldn't see out the back window or the passenger side. This particularly made me nervous because I was driving on icy roads.I arrived safely at the church and ran inside to find who was in charge of taking the food. The woman asked me to drive around to the back of the church instead. So I did, and the curb there was quite a ways away from the door. I carried the food in -- it took around 10 trips or so -- and made each trip all the way to the door, through the main level of the church, down to the basement, and then across the basement.

The woman made a point to tell me how great the store handled the order. Then when she was filling out the credit card, on the portion where you can add in a tip, she wrote in a big fat zero. And as she did this, she asked me to donate money to their church! I politely said something or other about not having extra cash to do this and then she proceeded to tell me I should come back to their Christmas program in a few days and pay 6 bucks to see it.

This church was a good distance from our store, and in the amount of time it took me to load up my car, drive there, carry in that much food and drive back, I missed most of the dinner rush (and therefore missed other chances to make tips.) I get paid less than minimum wage and lost out on gas money.

Atheist responses to a Christianist

Sometimes they allow a Christian post into Ex-Christian.net to feed the lions... I summarised some responses:
I want you to know that just because you dont believe in God, doesnt mean he's not there. God loves you. Romans 5:8 says God demonstrates His love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us. God has a love and a grace that is beyond human understanding. I am a christian obviously and I believe that Jesus Christ will be coming again and that He will take His people, the believers, with Him. I pray that you and the people who dont believe in Christ will turn before that day. If you want to ask me some questions or anything email me back. brandon.buck41@yahoo.com

What I want to know, is that if your "god" has a love and grace incomprehensible to man, then how can can one accept it? how would you know if you have it if you can't comprehend it? Nice try. S R Webb

Hey brandon, why don't you just fuck off? We're more interested in sinning and pissing god and jesus off over here. Perhaps try www.churchofsatan.com, they still believe in supernatural spookies over there.... - sir fer

And just because you believe in god, that doesn't mean he is there. And let me tell you what is beyond understanding. It is the pleasure one experiences when one grows up and gets off his knees and learns to act like a man. You sound like a child. "I am a christian". That sounds like "I got an A on my spelling test" or "I got a bike for my birthday". You are a christian; well big fucking deal. Let us know when you learn to go potty - ryan

Since abandoning my god belief, I am a lot more at peace with myself and reality. In this life of reality you learn to accept that we can roll with the punches, and find the answers to our own problems. Find the strength to deal with losses. Find the time to laugh and enjoy life, without the guilt complex that x-tianity ingrains in us. So, read your bible to somebody else, and enjoy your fantasy world. I would never go back! - eejay

Currently by you accepting and boasting a title of Christian, you are nothing more than a Christian zealot self-righteous bigot... Self-aggrandizing titles have no basis in reality, they are decoys invented to spew hatred and separation against other human beings... He loves us unconditionally, but with conditions.

Benny Hinn, Benny Hill, Benny Hell

Would you like to know something rather ironic? Apparently Gehenna, a Greek word used to describe the valley outside Jerusalem that is likened to hell, translates the original Hebrew name: ben hinnom.

This homage to Benny Hill actually manages to turn the 'fall over' footage of his frakked up church services into something even more ridiculous looking. It's a trip just watching that amount of people completely sucked into something so messed up.

Gay Jesus

Ok, my blog's got to a point where it's basically turned into a dumping ground for Youtube videos that I think adequately take the piss out of religion. That's ok isn't it? I'm still fascinated by having access to video online since going Broadband in six months ago - I've actually downloaded 8oo gig in that time. Amazing! I love living in the Download 'Age'. Imagine how many more sinners are going to be damned nowadays because of the easy access to porn and the ability to 'steal' movies from home.

I've lost my fire for long diatribes about the ridiculousness of religion and I'm preaching to the atheistic 'choir' here I think, in general. Not that I care or wish for a christian audience... they'd only want to pop in and tell me how much god loves me no matter how much I disbelieve or apparently 'hate' him, and that he will send me to a torturous hell should I not realise that before the rapture fairies take them all away.

I especially like it when I find videos that will offend Christian sensibilities and have them walking off in a huff, saying things like, "Well, I never!"

Pat Condell is able to offend very well with his recently ever so politely spoken piece - "Was Jesus Gay?" - enjoy, I found this on ex-Christian.net where I suspect most of you have already watched it.

Keith Allen and Crazy Christians

Check out Benny Hinn swiping his jacket at people to slay them. Fuck, they're stupid cunts.

I don't usually swear that heavily but holy fuck... I look at what some people will let themselves get sucked into and I just gotta say... get off the fucking planet or do something that doesn't embarrass yourself so god damn much.

I needed a rant tonight. Thanks, come again. And thanks http://www.nullifidian.net/ for the following video. I hadn't heard of Keith Allen before.

The Chasers vs the Westboro freaks (youtube)

Ahhh, those cheeky Chaser boys... gotta love 'em.

Westboro are getting a lot of press for a small group, but I think we're fascinated with what people are capable of when religion is uninhibited by what normal people hold back with common sense and common ethic.

The vile Westboro church creatures may be a tad fanatical and extreme and probably embarrassing to many mainstream christians, but there's something there in essence that lies just under the surface of all Christianity. I don't think Westboro is too far from what most of Christendom believe but are too polite in most cases to run out with pickets to do.
They disgust me to the core. Anyone who can act out so much hate while smiling all the way is chilling. And it's that same cold, fake smile that I see in most Christians after they leave one of their Sabbath day brainwashing services.

The Most Hated Family in America

Louis Theroux quotes:

"What we're trying to do in the documentary is look at an activity that is so antisocial, so strange, so futile and at its worst, so cruel, and we're saying "Why? Why do that?", especially when you seem to be, for the most part, kind and sensitive people. We're exploring what is cruelty, trying to explain how something that really does very often just amount to cruelty could be perpetuated and passed down in a family. Why would nice people do such horrible things?"

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Thanks Snakey for the following video! It's just freaking entertaining watching this passionate Christian idiot spitting and swearing at a list of YouTube users who 'dare' to call themselves atheists. This guy is a freaking loon, and I've never seen anyone swear so much who wasn't a Citroen Mechanic.

I don't think it's entirely polite to openly mock people who have mental disorders. I do stop and watch crazy homelesss people, in wide-eyed fascination who wander down the streets screaming at invisible people, but I feel sorry for them at the same time. Perhaps this guy does have some sort of disorder... but then again, who doesn't?

This guy makes the fat wife-swapping funcy freakazoid look like... uh actually no, they're both equally and willfully ignorant. This nine minute video is worth watching and he only gets more revved up as it goes along. I bet the people whose names are on his list are proud as punch to be on it. Ha.

Christian Halloween Alternatives

I've just sent out invitations to the students at our school for a Halloween Disco coming up, and I've already heard of some parents who won't let their children go because of the theme. Their kids are upset that they can't dance with their friends and have fun with them after a long hard year.

This is the epitome of what annoys me about some Christians. They are so full of superstition and fear that they actually go out of their way to avoid things that are so obviously unreal that it's beyond the joke. I suppose once you buy into the whole modern day Christian mythology you open yourself up to believing in all sorts of things... like witches and ghosts and demons and Yoda and The headless horseman and blah blah freaking blah.

I'm certainly not going to rename my disco or call it a fancy dress disco or any crap like that. I think that the kids who have to sit and sulk at home while their friends dance and singstar on a school night in fun costumes are learning a valuable lesson in life... and that is Christianity boxes you in a pseudo world of make-believe monsters. There's enough in this world to fear without believing in the bogey-man.

After doing a bit of an Internet search I've found that other schools have had the same problems and have even had to cancel their discos or parties because of the Christian idiocy that has some weight in their decisions. I found the following alternatives for Christians to get into as alternatives to Halloween at about.com and they're freaking funny. I wonder if Christians actually stop and think for a minute and cringe at themselves for being so 'Ned Flanderry'.

Fall Carnival or Harvest Festival

Organizing an event at your church gives children and parents a place to go and benefit from celebrating together with other families. Bible theme costumes offer an endless source of amusing choices.

Youth Pumpkin Patch Fun-Raiser

The church youth can sell the pumpkins and the profits can go toward funding their next youth camp. To pump up the interest level, more pumpkin related activities can be incorporated, such as a pumpkin carving contest, a pumpkin cook-off, a carving demonstration, or even a pumpkin bake sale.

Noah's Ark Party

consider offering a Noah's Ark party. This can either be a church-wide event or you might consider hosting your own party for neighbors and friends. Read the Genesis account of Noah's Ark and the ideas for planning will be numerous. Food choices could follow a "pet food" or "feed store" theme.

Evangelism Outreach

Thinking along the same lines of evangelism, some churches even put together a "haunted house" at their church and invite the crowd inside to hear an imaginatively delivered, evangelistic message. My friend is also an artist. On Halloween she and her husband turn their front yard into a graveyard. The gravestones are engraved with Scriptures in calligraphy that provoke visitors to think about eternity and mortality.

Reformation Day Party

We should have Reformation Day parties. Dress up as your favorite Reformation character, play games maybe some trivia challenges. Perhaps a re-staging of the Diet at Worms or of the debates between Luther and his critics. And the best part is that as Christians we're not hijacking a pagan holiday and trying to sanitize it. We're celebrating something that is our own and sets us apart from the secular world. It's a no-brainer to me. --Zec

Yep... it's a no brainer Zec... truly.

I swear to Gosh

"And the Lord sayeth unto they, thou shalt not say fuck or frak or any variation of sexual intercourse in a simplified vernacular during casual conversation. Neither shalt thou shit a cunt bomb by thy tongue, and if any bastard taketh the pisseth out of my name by way of expletive they'll surely answer unto me for an eternal damning in my Hellhole" - Fuckathians 13:69

“But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.” (Matthew 5:37)

“But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.” (James 5:12)

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." (Mat. 12:36)

One of the above is not an actual verse from the bible about swearing. The other three aren't really biblical directives that explicitly forbid Christians from saying 'Fuck' either, but they're enough to lay a big guilt trip on the diddly duddly Ned Flanderers of this great green earth. The following words and phrases are supposedly forbidden to be spoken by the Law of the Gospel of Grace:

"Well, my word!" - the Word was GOD! Satan tricked you! He's such a son of a Biatch!

"Well, my goodness!" -If you are saved then your "goodness" is none other than God

"Good grief! I had no idea!" - There you go again! Jesus Christ was a man of sorrows and acquainted with GRIEF (Isa. 53:3).

"For crying out loud! Can't I say anything?" - Matthew 27:46 says that when your Saviour was suffering on the cross He "cried with a loud voice.

"Well, geeeeeeee!" - Did you say "G", as in "GOD"? Yes, you certainly did! You've also said "Gosh" and "Good Golly"! You've also said "Jeepers Creepers" when you really wanted to say "Jesus Christ" (JC!).

You've also played around with the letters "G" and "D" together. You said "dad gum" and "dog gone" when you really wanted to say "God" and then follow with the word "damn". Think about it, Christian! Oh and what about "darn" and "dang"?

"Why, heck!" - God knows your heart, and he knows you really wanted to say "hell!".

Ah, shoot and shivers! I nearly said shit!

Crikey - Christ

Bloody - Jesus Blood

Struth - God's Truth

Jesus Fucking H Christ in a Handbag - A fornicating saviour of the world with the middle name 'Hell', in a woman's recepticle.

Evil Disney

I've always enjoyed reading the work of the freaking nutjob fundies at Jesus-is-saviour; they are the epitomy of Christianity gone completely insane. It's one of those sites that you're sure MUST be parody but isn't. They're completely serious about what they ramble on about.

The following excepts from the website are not parody.

Freaky Fundy - "Within 15 minutes of the opening scene, viewers of Walt Disney's movie, NARNIA, are face to face with Pan (deceitfully renamed to "Tumnus"), the evil sexually-perverted pagan sex god, which Wiccan witches worship and adore worldwide.

Freaky Fundy - In lieu of such evidence, how can any professed Christian endorse such a demonic movie as NARNIA? Yet, Christians all across America are praising this evil movie which promotes Satan. Look at the photo of Tumnus to the left. Please notice the Devil's horns coming out of his head. In NARNIA, Tumnus is one of the good characters. Do you think this is all just a coincidence? No my friend, Satan is working relentlessly to poison the minds of our children. Tragically, the average Christian parent is so woefully ignorant of the Word of God that they are easy prey for Satanic deceptions. This is why so many professed Christians see no harm in Harry Potter.

NARNIA and Pedophilia

Freaky Fundy - Lucy and Pan's subtle interactions, give the impression of a pedophile trying to lure a little girl into his house. Tumnus (Pan, a faun) represents the Devil, trying to seduce a young girl. If you doubt what I am saying, you won't by the end of this article. In fact, you are going to be sickened. Furthermore, Tumnus' and his flute have magical powers, just like the Devil. Tumnus puts the little girl to sleep with his music. The next scene shows the little girl waking up and Tumnus crying, claiming that he has done something very bad. The subtle implication is that he sexually molested her. Remember folks, pan is the demonic pagan god of sexual perversion and rape. In fact, most images of pan show him with an erection.

MothandRust - Methinks the mind of this fundamentalis wackjob is a little fucked up to read this into the story. I wonder what she thinks the three bears did to Goldilocks or vica versa. Definitely a spirit of beastiality sexual perversion at work there. The big bad wolf wanting to eat little red also has some 'startling' revelations from a fundamentalist perspective.

Take a look at Pan's Labyrinth and you'll see where all these demonic movies are heading!

Freaky Fundy - Notice in the photo to the left that there are three cleverly hidden 6's in the words "Walt Disney." Also notice that Mickey mouse is wearing a sorcerer's hat and casting a magic spell. Walt Disney is of the Devil, controlled by secret society Illuminist's who are trying to corrupt every child in America.

MothandRust - I think it's really neat that Disney should go to all the trouble to hide mark of the beast 666 in the font of theirs. 66 books in the bible too... evil evil beasty bible!

Walt Disney and Sexual Perversion

Freaky Fundy - I think the photos speak for themselves

Moth - Check out the golden dildo in the centre of the picture. It gets Ariel all wet. I wonder if the fins match the fringe?

Disney - The artists at Disney say this is a laughable coincidence and not intentionally phallic.

Freaky Fundy - The word "sex" written in the sky ("The lion king").

MothandRust - yeah yeah yeah... We've all seen this before. May or may not be an accident. It's but one moment in a piece of twirlsing swirling animation. I think it says SEW myself. I think they are trying to subliminally get children sewing. Those Disney bastards!

Disney - The special effects team autographed this moment of film with their acronym - SFX!

Freaky Fundy - Notice the woman at the window ("The Rescuers"). I added the white spots to cover her bare breasts. Walt Disney's perverts thinks it's cute to place porno in their movies.

Freaky Fundy - A scene from Roger Rabbit. I had to block out a big section to hide the indecency. Disney, not to be outdone...

Disney says - It was a simple colouring error, the panties are there for but one frame or two and the colouring department didn't notice. This happens all the time in hand painted cell creation.

MothandRust - This next one is the coup-de-gras... poor thinking on the ride designer's part but probably not intentional. Like seriously... Disney is about making money and more money. They deleted all those ambiguous moments from their dvd released versions of the films and out of the hundreds they have made these are the freeze-frame moments the crazy fundies could find. This next one is funny.

Freaky Fundy - The Disney corporation appears to be focusing their sexual degradation on young girls instead of young boys. The obvious effect of creating cartoon rides out of sex toys can have no other intent than to lead our young children... boys AND girls... our precious future... down the path of emotional developmental mind control.

Bible Fight

The game, which incorporates the style of the video game Mortal Kombat, features God, Eve, Noah, Moses, Mary, Satan, and Jesus, who "battle' it out to determine who is the "mightiest" of scripture characters. When one of the characters is injured, blood splatters off of them.

The intro to the game reads: "(Holy music) In the beginning, there was a contest of strength amongst the most prominent figures in scripture to determine the mightiest. The tale of this great rivalry was thought lost forever. Until now."

Once you've chosen a character for battle and continue to the arena, one of which is 'The Garden of Eden', the fight begins. The character Eve, for example, is scantily covered in leaves and detailed to be an 'attractive' female figure. Jesus' mother Mary holds baby Jesus while she uses her halo as a weapon, so on and so forth. The game is considered blasphemous, and an insult to the Christian religion by some... which makes it all the more fun.

Some Christian Commentators:

Christian one - "Any game that features a religion's 'Messiah' and savior being beaten by Satan, God, or any other Biblical character as entertainment is wrong, and if this was another religion, the maker would be admonished and punished severely."

Christian two - I'm shocked!!! Just another reason why I am SOOOOOO glad we never allowed an X-box or any other gaming system into the home!! Yes, we're Christians, but I have to admit single mom , you are walking in MORE DISCERNMENT than those "christians" who thought the game was a "good idea"......

Christian TJ - Jesus fighting Moses, Mary against Eve? This is total hogwash blasphemy. It is a sign though...the true Christ is coming for His true followers.....

Christian Robert - Before a man comes to Christ, he hates the law of God: his whole soul rises up against it - "the carnal mind is emnity against God. . ."

David Niles Jr - This is Apostasy, Apostasy in the most vile form. Come Lord Jesus!

Corinne - This makes me want to cry and throw up. The goats will be more recognizeable as goats the more we as His sheep reflect the awesome glory of Jesus Christ in our lives.

Linda - This makes me want to cry. I cannot believe this is marketed as a "Christian" video game. Even the graphics look Satanic. Lord have mercy on those who created this game, who play this game, and who believe this game to be harmless fun.

Sam -It's a Flash game on the Adult Swim website. If you think this is blasphemous...well, you've obviously never watched their show "Moral Orel" to see just how far they will go in blasphemy and debasing Christian faith. I dare you to sit through one 15-minute episode without vomiting.

Nathaniel - I have seen many things in this world that are very wrong, but this takes it to an entirely new level.

Carolyn - Quite simply, that has to be one of the most blaspemous and irreverent things I have EVER seen.

Atheist - This is rediculous! You die hard Christians proclaim BLASPHEMY and qoute scripture everytime a controversial subject pops up. If he loves me so much, why should a fusion of cartoons and miniscule violence insult "him"? Video games are works of fiction. Just like God and his son.
